If you want to try out one of Denmark's best theme parks, spend a day or two at Legoland, located just 25 minutes from our campsite. With more than 50 different rides for both children and adults, you're sure to have a few fantastic days of adrenaline rushes, laughter and great experiences.

The story behind Legoland

In Legoland, the small Lego bricks build the foundation for entire cities and universes, which in addition to the rides is a highly recommended experience. The theme park was built back in 1968 and started out as an outdoor exhibition where you could experience wild Lego constructions.

Since then, the park has only expanded, adding a myriad of rides and expanding in every other way. At Legoland you can either eat your home-cooked food or enjoy a meal at one of their many restaurants, which serve buffets with a large selection and many regular restaurants where you can choose according to your taste.

Legoland is guaranteed to entertain the whole family, which is why a campsite within easy reach is ideal. When energy reserves are running low, it's preferable to minimise the trip home. That's why it's great that our campsite is so close to Legoland.

Other great experiences within a short distance

If you don't fancy the wind in your hair, speed and action of Legoland, you can also spend a day in historic Jelling. Here you can experience sights for the whole family, including a couple of cosy days at Givskud Zoo, the mouth of the river Gudenåen or experience the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Kongernes Jelling. Get a piece of central Danish history and visit the Jelling Stones. Here you can experience genuine runic writing from the 10th century, which marks an extremely epoch-making time when Denmark went from being pagan to Christian. At the site you can find information boards that describe the history in more detail.

You can also explore the unknown, put on your shoes, throw a backpack over your shoulder and follow various hiking trails.
